Guide to Ordering

The medekit website offers several ways to create an order.  The most obvious route is to use the basket method.

USING THE BASKET

Find what you want

If you know what you want the search function in the box to the right of the screen is the quickest way to find the product.

Or

You can browse the catalogue by category: consumables, drugs or equipment.  Within these all products are categorised by usage to make it easier for you to find what you are looking for.

Add to basket

When viewing individual products simply click add to basket.

To purchase multiple items from a product category input values into the basket quantity box next to the products you require and scroll to the bottom of the screen to update basket

Your basket will be displayed in the right hand column of the page. You can click View Basket to amend or view what is in your basket at any time.

At this stage continue shopping, save basket for later or checkout.  If you are not already logged in you will be asked to log in or register. If you already have an account with us which contains saved baskets, you will be given the option to merge your basket with an existing basket, or to save it as a new basket.

WORKING WITH BASKETS

It is possible to save more than one basket within your account. You might want to do this if you have several potential orders to work on at once.

You can retrieve a different basket at any time by clicking My medekit on the My medekit menu. Click the link next to the basket you want to work with.

Your current basket is always displayed in the right hand column. If you are logged in to your account, the basket reference is displayed allowing you to identify the basket. You can change to a different or new basket by clicking the Change basket link.

COPYING FROM AN EXISTING ORDER

This option is very useful for those who need to stock several similar clinics, or who restock the same items regularly.

If you wish to create a similar or identical order, simply lick on View Orders and Quotations from the My medekit menu. Choose the order you want to copy. Click on Copy this order to a new basket from the options in the right hand column.

TEMPLATES – MEDICAL SUPPLIES LISTS

Using our template system an order can be created in seconds simply by answering a few simple questions! Our consultant pharmacist and remote area specialist medical consultant have developed our templates to offer you peace of mind when selecting the range of products for your specific requirements.

We offer several templates depending on your requirements:

·          medekit standard list

·          Ambulance kit

·          Emergency bag

·          Rapid –set up

·          Frontier Medical

Click on Medical Supplies Lists under Catalogue and choose the template that suits your needs. Once you have answered the questions, a suggested list of products will be generated. You can create a basket from this list, which can be edited by adding or removing items before placing an order

SUBMITTING AN ORDER

To submit your order, you can either click the checkout link in your basket in the right hand column, or click the checkout button when viewing your basket. You can always find your basket by going to the My medekit page.

You are then presented with a step-by-step checkout process. Complete the steps as follows:

1.       CHECKOUT: SHIPPING

Choose your shipping address from the addresses set up for your account, or add a new address if required.

Tick if this is your final destination

FINAL DESTINATION

If your shipping address is not the final destination for your order (e.g. it is a carriers address), then you have the opportunity to enter an additional ‘Final Destination Address’. This is the address we will use on any export documentation for your order.

2.       CHECKOUT: BILLING

If you choose credit card and it meets our online buying requirements you will be asked to input your details at the end of the check out process.  If this does not meet our requirements we will contact you for payment when we process your order.

3.       CHECKOUT: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

There is an opportunity to add your own purchase order number here or any other specific details with regards to your order

4.       CHECKOUT: CONFIRM ORDER

Your final opportunity to check all of your order details

Read the terms and conditions and tick that you have done this

You can now place your order!
